Itinerary:
DAY 01: PICK UP FROM HOTEL – FLIGHT TO CAPPADOCIA
This early morning the driver will pick you up from the lobby of your hotel in Istanbul to transfer to the airport. At the set time you will fly (60 min) to Cappadocia airport. On arrival at the airport and after picking your luggage, there will be a representative to meet you at the exit and transfer to our office where you can leave your luggage and start the guided North Cappadocia tour. First, we will visit the famous panorama of rock stones named Esentepe, following Uchisar Castle (Byzantium period) from outside, Pasabag Valley, Dervent Valley and Tree Beauties Valley. All are the most important sights of North Cappadocia. Then we’ll head on to the ancient towns of Urgup and Avanos, which is famous for red clay pottery where you can try your potting skills. Afterwards we will transfer you to the cave hotel. Overnight stay in Cappadocia.
DAY 02: SOUTH CAPPADOCIA TOUR – FLIGHT TO IZMIR (B)
This early morning be the lucky one to greet the sun from the Hot Air Ballon! (Optional on your personal expenses) ***
After your breakfast and check out, the guide will pick up from the hotel to start the South Cappadocia tour. We’ll head on to Meskender Valley and Rose Valley, famous with its red colored stone formations, will explore the landscape of the area hiking around. Visiting Cavusin Village with those specific cave houses forming a miraculous landscape of the area, beautiful Pigeon Valley which says a lot by its name. Be amazed by the fabulous view of Love Valley and its panoramic view. We are lucky to visit that unique Kaymakli Underground City and feel the gravity of an ancient community with 5 to 20 levels down full of rooms, wineries, tombs and even barns that been used centuries ago. At the end of the tour you will be transferred to the airport for the flight to Izmir (Late flight). On arrival to the airport and after picking your luggage there will be a representative to meet you at the exit and transfer to the hotel in Kusadasi area. 2 overnight stays in Kusadasi.
DAY 03: EPHESUS DAY TOUR (B)
After breakfast at the hotel. On the set time the guide will pick you up from the hotel to head on for Ephesus tour where we will visit: Temple of Artemis (one of the 7 Ancient Wonders of the World), the 25,000 seat Amphitheatre, the famous Celsius Library, Temple of Hadrian and Ephesos amphitheatre with harbor street of Ephesus Ancient City; the final part will be House of the Virgin Mary and her last abode. The day’s tour ends, and you will be transferred back to the hotel.
DAY 04: PAMUKKALE DAY TOUR (B)
After breakfast at the hotel, you will be picked up at the set time by your guide to head for full day Pamukkale and Hierapolis tour (2,5 hrs driving with stops and beautiful landscape) Upon our arrival in Pamukkale you will have a lunch break (personal expenses). Today we will visit places as: The Gates of Ancient City of Hierapolis, necropolis and beautiful ancient theater of Hierapolis, the calcified pools and waterfalls known as Travertines with its beautiful panorama; you can swim among ancient ruins of Kleopatra swimming pool or visit an Archeology Museum of Hierapolis. The day’s tour ends, and you will be transferred back to the hotel.
DAY 05: PERGAMUM DAY TOUR – TRANSFER TO CANAKKALE (B)
After breakfast and check out, we will pick you up from the lobby and depart for Pergamum. After the lunch break (personal expenses) we drive to Pergamon ancient city, where we visit Acropolis and Altar of Zeus, the lower Agorathe Asclepion and Health Centre, Hellenistic Theatre, Temple of Dionysus and the Red Basilica, originally a temple of Serapis, can be viewed. The most spectacular structure is certainly the theatre; a remarkable piece of engineering built into the steep hillside. After visiting all the places, we drive to Gallipoli to stay in Canakkale for overnight.
DAY 06: CANAKKALE – TROY & GALLIPOLI HALF DAY TOUR – ISTANBUL (B)
After breakfast at the hotel, prepare to check out the hotel and our driver will pick you up for half a day afternoon Troy Tour. Today after lunch time first (personal expenses) visit will be a replica of the wooden Troy horse that you can climb into for a photo, excavation information center which holds exhibits underground, The fortification walls of Troy VI with its tower and gateway entrance, Sacrificial Altars, The Odeon and Temple of Athena – the focal point of a great annual festival in honor of the goddess Athena.
After lunch break we’ll go for Brighton Beach, Ari burnu and ANZAC Cove cemeteries, Lone Pine Australian memorial and cemetery, original tunnels and trenches at Johnston’s Jolly, The infamous Nek cemetery, The Chunuk Bair, Ataturk memorial and the New Zealand memorial and cemetery. At the end of the day, you will be transferred to Istanbul and drop you off at your hotel. End of your 6 Days Turkey Tour with us.
